How to manage two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account

Keeping your account secure is a top priority at Xebar. That’s why we recommend setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)—an extra layer of protection that helps prevent unauthorized access.

Here’s how to get started:


  1. Open the Xebar app and go to your profile by tapping on your profile icon
  2. Select Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and enable this feature for your account
  3. Choose your preferred 2FA method. We support apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, or any other TOTP-compatible app.
  4. You’ll see a QR code and setup key.
  5. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code or manually enter the key.
  6. The app will generate a 6-digit code.
  7. Enter that code in Xebar to confirm your setup.

🎉 Done! Your 2FA is now active.


How to disable 2FA
If you need to turn off 2FA—for example, you're switching devices or no longer using your authenticator app—here’s how:

  1. Open the Xebar app and go to your profile by tapping on your profile icon
  2. Tap on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  3. Disable 2FA by tapping on the toggle
  4. You’ll be asked to enter a valid 2FA code from your authenticator app to confirm.

✅ Once confirmed, 2FA will be turned off for your account.


Why Use 2FA?

2FA adds an extra step to your login process—something you know (your password) + something you have (your phone). This makes it much harder for someone else to access your account, even if they have your password.

Pro Tips

  • Back up your 2FA recovery codes in a safe place. If you lose access to your phone, you’ll need them to recover your account.

  • 2FA codes change every 30 seconds, so always use the latest one displayed in your authenticator app.
  • If your 2FA codes aren't working, double-check your device’s time and date settings—they need to be synced correctly.
